Growing up, I watched my mom complete countless sewing projects ranging from our clothing to quilts. However, I didn't fall in love with the craft until I began working in lovely quilting shop in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The owner taught me to sew quilts and how to use Bernina machines. I began taking sewing classes and eventually teaching. Sewing was simply a hobby until 10 years later when I had the opportunity to assist a local designer with a project. This was the beginning... With a great deal of support and encouragement from family and friends, my husband and I launched Plucky Pillows in 2018.

We now live on a small farm in Wilmington, North Carolina with our two children, three dogs, pony and mini donkey (goats coming soon!). Family and time at home are so important to me. For myself, happiness truly is homemade and I am thrilled to be able to create from my home workspace!

Plucky Pillows has grown steadily over the past years. We are incredibly blessed with wonderful clients, continuing education opportunities, a professional workspace, and industrial machinery. Plucky Pillows takes great pride in producing high quality, custom, homemade soft good furnishings to enhance and complete the look our local designers devote themselves to creating.
